Keno display and party app

I helped give one draw two scales: a large shared board and a phone interface.

01 / The project

What I’m working with

The number board is meant to be readable from across a room. The phone handles the party interaction. Both follow the same underlying game.

The interesting problems are ordinary ones: an approximate countdown, stale data, reconnecting, invitations and temporary party state.

02 / Workflow

How it works

01

Watch the shared draw

Show phase, countdown, revealed numbers and the previous completed draw on a large display.

02

Connect the party

Use an invitation to bring the phone interface and display into the same temporary party.

03

Stay honest about state

Mark stale data, suppress an unreliable countdown and recover from connection or authentication failure.

Where I leave it

The display and party code are saved with landscape and mobile examples. The screenshot uses a synthetic draw from a browser test.
