01 / The project

What I’m working with

The designer brought an inexpensive ONN tablet and a practical problem. A full mail client was more than the screen needed.

The PC handles Gmail, summaries, storage and actions. The tablet gets readable cards and a small set of controls. Local AI does the summarizing.

02 / Workflow

The PC synchronizes Gmail and uses local AI to turn messages into useful cards.

The touch display receives updates through a persistent connection, with reconnect and wake handling.

Queued Gmail actions have history, undo support and recovery. The service has startup and watchdog tooling.

03 / Inside the project
